Modeling is a first impression business.
To get work as a model, you need to immediately capture the attention of casting agents (anyone that makes a decision about you getting an assignment or being signed).
One thing they all have in common is too many models and too many pictures to look at.
Casting agents rarely look past the first few pictures, so it’s very important to show the right ones, and they aren’t the type of images you might expect.
Set yourself apart! Use the right types of pictures, along with information, the decision makers want to see.
Use the wrong type of images and guess what? You don't get the job.
Do not use overly artistic pictures as they detract from the the real subject (you). Remember these decision makers are sifting through thousands of images with all the tricks applied. They want to see you. What they can’t see, makes them suspicious.
I know. You're saying, "But I have this beautiful high fashion shot!" No matter how beautiful it may be, don’t send it. Only send a high fashion shot if it’s a tear sheet. The decision makers don’t want to see what a great job the photographer or stylist did, they want to see the real you.
Submit simple, crisp, images that show you off.
